🐺 Notes from the Admin Team

There are lots of great things happening around the Meadow as we continue working together to support student success!

On Tuesday, October 20th, some of our 4th grade students will be taking the Read to Achieve assessment. Families of students participating in this assessment have already been notified. We encourage these students to get a good night's rest, arrive at school on time, and come ready to do their very best!

Our 5th grade students have officially kicked off the D.A.R.E. program! We are excited to welcome Officer Bost, who is supporting Officer Culp in teaching our students important lessons about making safe, responsible choices. We appreciate their partnership and the positive impact they are making on our students!

Report cards will be shared with families on Wednesday, October 21st, through ParentSquare. Families will also receive their child's i-Ready and mCLASS data reports. These reports provide valuable information about your child's academic progress and areas for continued growth.

If you haven't had an opportunity to schedule a parent-teacher conference, now is a great time! Our teachers are eager to partner with you to review your child's progress, celebrate successes, and share ways you can support learning at home.

At Wolf Meadow, we know that student success takes a team! Thank you for being an important part of our Wolf Pack and working alongside us to help every student grow and succeed

Creativity

his week, our school will focus on the character strength of Creativity. Creativity means coming up with new and original ways to think about and do things.

Creative people see the world differently. They are open to new experiences and think independently. They come up with many ideas and pursue them with energy and enthusiasm. Creativity takes courage because sharing original ideas can sometimes lead to criticism.
Creativity is vital to our world! Creative solutions can help resolve conflicts and find compromises that satisfy everyone involved, strengthening relationships. It helps us solve tough problems, create new things, and see the world in fresh ways. Examples include treatments for deadly illnesses, such as cancer, the invention of the cell phone, and the development of solar panels. Imagine life without Impressionist paintings or the creation of airplanes and rocket ships.

To encourage creativity with your child at home, visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families (available in English and Spanish), where you will watch a video together and discuss a quote and three questions. Below are links to this week’s P2 for Families lessons. Click on the grade level that best meets your child’s needs.
