Welcome Back to the 26-27 School Year

What a wonderful first week of the 2026–2027 school year at Wolf Meadow! 💚💛 It has been exciting to welcome our Wolves back to the Meadow, see classrooms full of learning, and watch our students settle into their new routines. We are grateful for the patience, support, and flexibility our families have shown as we kick off another great year together.

We know that transportation has presented challenges for many of our families, and some students are still waiting to receive bus assignments. Please know that the school system’s Transportation Department is working hard to complete assignments and get students routed as quickly as possible. While we wish we could assign buses or make changes here at Wolf Meadow, all bus assignments and routes are handled by the county Transportation Department, not by individual schools. We appreciate your continued patience as they work through these requests.

A few important reminders for families using our car rider line:
  • 🚗 Car rider tags must be displayed when picking up your child. If you do not have a tag, please use this link to request one: https://bit.ly/26cartag
  • Car rider line ends at 3:20 PM each day.
  • After 3:20 PM, parents/guardians must come into the front office to check out their student. Students will not be released through the car rider line after it closes.
Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and efficient for all of our Wolves. We are looking forward to an incredible year of learning, growing, and working together. One Pack, One Purpose! 🐺💚💛

Back to School

Our Wolves are settling into the new school year, and it has been so much fun to watch! 💚💛 From making new friends and reconnecting with familiar faces to learning new routines and expectations, our students are already finding their place in the Meadow.

Classrooms and hallways have been filled with smiles, laughter, learning, and lots of excitement as students enjoy their first few days of school. We are so proud of the way our Wolves are starting the year and can't wait to see all the bright spots still to come! 🐺✨

Other People Mindset

This week, our school community will focus on the Other People Mindset. The Positivity Project (P2) aims to empower students to build positive relationships by understanding, appreciating, and exemplifying the character strengths in us all.

The Other People Mindset is a foundational concept within P2, teaching students that positive relationships are important – and that there are actions students can take to build positive relationships. Here are the five Other People Mindset elements:
  1. Identify and appreciate the good in other people
  2. Understand that your words and actions affect other people
  3. Cheer other people on when they succeed
  4. Support other people when they struggle
  5. Remain present and give other people your attention

While mental health is incredibly complex, we know that positive relationships can help people become happier, healthier, and more resilient. And, relationship-building skills are critical for leadership, collaboration, and effective communication – abilities that will be essential in future careers. The Positivity Project believes educators have a tremendous opportunity and vital role to play in teaching students that relationships are important to their health and success – and ways to actively build positive relationships in their lives.

To practice and encourage the Other People Mindset at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families (available in English and Spanish), where you will watch a video together and discuss a quote and three questions. Below are links to this week’s P2 for Families lessons. Click on the grade level that best meets your child’s needs.

Thank you for your support!
