As we enter the month of May, our students in grades 3–5 will be participating in End-of-Grade (EOG) testing. These assessments are an important opportunity for students to demonstrate all they have learned this school year. Our testing schedule is as follows: Thursday, May 7 – 3rd–5th Grade Math, Friday, May 8 – 5th Grade Science, and Tuesday, May 12 – 3rd–5th Grade Reading.
Students who do not pass on their first attempt will have additional opportunities to retest. Retesting will take place on Thursday, May 14 – 3rd–5th Grade Math Retest, Friday, May 15 – 3rd Grade Read to Achieve Test (For 3rd grade Students that did not pass the EOG) and 4th–5th Grade Reading Retest, and Monday, May 18 – 5th Grade Science Retake.
Retest Permission Forms will be sent home via ParentSquare on April 15th. It is extremely important that all families complete this form for students who do not pass their initial EOG assessment. Retesting provides a critical opportunity for students to strengthen their performance and demonstrate their learning. We strongly encourage every eligible student to participate in retesting to give themselves the best chance for success.
It is extremely important that students arrive at school on time each day, especially on testing days, and maintain strong attendance throughout the entire month of May. Our teachers and support staff will be providing targeted reteach and review lessons between testing sessions to give students the extra support they need to be successful. We appreciate your partnership in helping our students finish the year strong!
