A Message from the Admin Team

We are off to such a great start at Wolf Meadow! Our students are already diving into the new Arts and Letters curriculum, and it’s exciting to see so much learning and engagement happening all around the building.

We have also started our beginning-of-year testing. Students in grades 1–5 will take the iReady diagnostic, students in grades K–3 (and some 4th graders) will participate in mClass testing, and our 3rd graders will take the Beginning-of-Grade (BOG) assessment on August 26th.

These assessments help us learn more about where each child is starting the year so we can support their growth.

We also want to give a big shout-out to our newest Wolves in Kindergarten! They are doing an amazing job learning routines and procedures and settling into school life. We are so proud of them and know they have a wonderful year ahead!

Procedures, Play Based Learning and so much more!

Students are settling into routines and procedures, and our classrooms are already buzzing with learning!

Our kindergarteners are doing a wonderful job discovering what it means to be a student and are wrapping up their days with engaging play-based learning centers.

In our upper grades, students are diving into lessons using hands-on math manipulatives, and our 5th graders even brought math to life with a giant coordinate plane grid. It’s been an exciting start, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing learning ahead!

Positivity Project

Curiosity

This week, our school is focusing on the character strength of Curiosity. Curiosity means being interested in learning new things and asking questions to discover more about the world around us.

When we are curious, we want to know more and understand better. Curiosity helps us stay interested in stories, try new activities, and even explore new places. Everyone experiences curiosity in different ways, whether it's through asking questions, thinking deeply, or feeling excited about new ideas.

Being curious also takes courage. It means asking questions when we don’t know the answers and being willing to try new things, even if we might not succeed right away. But it’s through this curiosity and exploration that we learn and grow.

To practice and encourage curiosity at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families (available in English and Spanish), where you will watch a video together and discuss a quote and three questions. Below are links to this week’s P2 for Families lessons. Click on the grade level that best meets your child’s needs.

Counselors

What Does a School Counselor Do?

At Wolf Meadow Elementary, school counselors Kyra Glover (K-2), Emily Baxa (3-5), and Kayla Frendak lead a program that helps students grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe and supportive environment. Through classroom lessons, small groups, and individual check-ins, the counselors:
  • Build confidence and support healthy friendships
  • Encourage problem-solving and responsibility
  • Promote lifelong learning and critical thinking
  • Strengthen character, empathy, and leadership
  • Partner with families and teachers to ensure every student feels valued and supported
Together, we empower students to reach their full potential and thrive in school and life!

If you are interested in your child receiving counseling support, please complete both the referral form and consent form attached.

Box Tops for Education

Welcome back to a new school year! My name is Norma Robinson and I'm our school's Box Tops for Education Coordinator. Box Tops for Education is a program that gives money to schools for their family’s participation just by purchasing products and scanning the receipt in the Box Tops App.

Our 2025-2026 goal is $500.00

Here's how you can help:
Download the Box Tops App today and start scanning – I promise, it is a super easy task to get used to. Just download the mobile app using the QR Code you see. Register, use Referral Code WQRA61F6, and select 386481 Wolf Meadow Elementary School as your supporting school.

BUY Box Tops products, SCAN your receipt with the Box Tops app within 14 days of purchase and EARN cash with every Box Tops product you buy. Each time you shop (mostly groceries), scan your receipt and if you’ve purchased any participating products, the app will automatically add Box Tops to our school’s earnings AND you can track our school’s progress in real time.

Remember to SPREAD THE WORD to family, friends, co-workers, & neighbors to SIGN UP for the Box Tops app, use Referral Code WQRA61F6, and SCAN those grocery receipts.

Check the app for bonuses offered. You'll earn Bonus Box Tops for our school when you take advantage of any of the Bonus Offers you see in the app! If you shop online & get an email receipt, just forward your e-receipt to receipts@boxtops4education.com thru the app and you will get credit.

Turn on notifications in your Box Tops app to get scan reminders and stay updated on special offers, new products, and opportunities to earn for our school. Go to your Communications Settings by tapping on the person icon in the upper-right corner of the app.
Let's work together to give our students what they need to succeed — and see how much we can earn this year!
